New York: New York State’s Nassau County has appointed Pakistani American Syed Aun Murtajiz Naqvi as the Executive Director of the Office of Asian American Affairs.
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blackman announced the appointment of Aun Murtajiz Naqvi as Executive Director of Asian American Affairs, according to a press release issued from his office.
“I am sure he will do the best job,” Bruce Blackman said.
In a statement, Aun Murtajiz Naqvi thanked Allah Almighty for the position and dedicated the milestone to his parents and friends.
He thanked the entire team including County Executive Bruce Blackman and his senior advisor Chaudhry Akram for showing confidence.
He said that every possible effort will be made to fulfill my responsibilities with complete integrity and serve the community.
