Eric Adams calls for interfaith harmony, discourages religious hatred

New York: Acknowledging the increasing hate crimes in the city, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has said that in the current situation, we must all unite to discourage religious hatred and hate crimes.

He said this while holding a news conference in the City Council along with religious scholars.

While holding a press conference with Muslim, Jewish, Christian, and Sikh community leaders and elected public representatives at City Hall, Mayor Eric Adams said that the incidence of hate crimes has increased, which is alarming.

The police are doing their work, but to prevent such serious incidents, everyone must be united and help each other.

Leaders of Muslim, Jewish, and Christian communities also spoke on this occasion. The speakers said that political and religious differences have always existed and will continue to exist in the future, but those who use them to incite violence are enemies of humanity.

We are all one, and an attack on any community will be considered an attack on all of us.

New York State Assemblywoman Jennifer Rajkumar and Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso were also present at the press conference.

He said that holidays and Christmas are days to celebrate and share joy, these days come as hope to live while Antonio appreciated the work done by the mayor and also gave him a gift.

On this occasion, the leaders of all religions reiterated their commitment that they will encourage their own communities to live together in harmony and support each other
