New York: A coastal storm is bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and snow to parts of New York City, According to the National Weather Service.

Parts of New York and New Jersey may experience significant snowfall during the storm, while other areas may experience light snowfall or heavy rain, the NWS said.

The National Weather Service said in a briefing that many things could be affected during this coastal storm.

Due to expected inclement weather, some flights may be delayed or canceled.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for western Ulster County until 10 a.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Friday for Sullivan County.

Parts of New Jersey, along with other parts of New York State, will be affected by the storm. The National Weather Service says Long Island could experience gusts of 45 to 50 mph.
