The Board of Trustees of the Pakistan Society of North Taxes has extended the present leadership of the organization by one year, extending the tenure of Abid Malik as the president of PSNT along with his executive body for one year.

The PSNT Central Working Committee met under the chairmanship of Dr. Riaz Haider, Chairman Board of Trustees, at a local restaurant in Dallas. The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Trustees Amir Ali Ropani, Muhammad Younis, Barkat Ali Baseria and Shah Rukh Siddiqui along with PSNT President Abid Malik, Vice President Salman Tabani, Secretary General Amna Priyani and Treasurer Abid Baig. On this occasion, the performance of PSNT Executive Committee was reviewed.

PSNT President Abid Malik informed the meeting that due to the situation caused by the corona virus, several PSNT programs had to be shunned along with the annual Independence Day celebrations as the government barred restrictions on large gatherings. Abid Malik said that the establishment of Pakistan House in Dallas would be completed by next year.

On this occasion all the members brought various issues under consideration and acknowledged that the current committee headed by Abid Malik could not get proper time structure due to the challenge of the novel Corona virus and many programs and projects could not be completed. It was suggested in the meeting that the present Executive Committee be given an extension of one year so that proper progress could be made on the Pakistan House project and various proposed programs for the community could be implemented.

The meeting unanimously approved the proposal and gave one year extension to Abid Malik and his executive committee. On the occasion, Chairman Board of Trustees PSNT Dr. Riaz Haider said that today’s meeting was a full house and not a single member was absent. All members unanimously extended the current elected executive committee by one year. He hoped that the committee would be able to further serve the Pakistani community in the extended period.

PSNT President Abid Malik, Vice President Salman Tabani and Khazan Abid Baig expressed gratitude towards the board members and reiterated their commitment that they and their team would continue to serve the Pakistani community without any discrimination.
