NEWYORK: Pakistan has called for resolving conflicts to save children’s future and protect educational rights.
Speaking in the UN Security Council’s session on “Children, Technology and Education in Conflict”, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, said while conflicts persist, we have an obligation to ensure that no child’s future is extinguished by circumstances beyond their control.
He welcomed the “Fostering the Future Together Initiative” of the US First Lady, saying that Pakistan is pleased to join this initiative.
The initiative is aimed at building a global coalition committed to enhancing children’s well-being through the promotion of education, innovation and technology.
