NEWYORK: ICNA Relief organized an annual fundraising event in New York in which participants donated about USD 6,00,000 for charitable activities.
A large number of the community members participated in the event and expressed full support for the welfare activities.
The annual fundraising event titled: “Be the Door of Opportunity”, was held at a local hotel in Long Island.
A large number of the community participated in this prestigious event and expressed full support for the welfare activities. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
ICNA New York Incharge Ishaq Alpar welcomed the participants to the program and highlighted its aims and objectives.
Addressing the event, ICNA Relief CEO Abdul Rauf briefed the audience about the ongoing organization’s welfare mission, humanitarian service projects and assistance to low-income families.

Motivational speaker Shamekh Saadat encouraged the participants to actively participate in public service. He said that every individual can open the doors of opportunity for others, all that is needed is intention and action.
Chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Judiciary Ali Najmi, who participated in the event, discussed the strength of the community, cooperation and social partnership and appreciated the services of ICNA Relief.
The speakers of the event said that ICNA Relief has become a ray of hope for the people who are in need not only in the United States but also around the world.
The participants of the event donated around USD 6,00,000 in annual fundraising for welfare projects.
Later, ICNA Relief USA’s North-East Region Regional Director Arshad Jamal thanked all the participants, sponsors and volunteers.
ICNA Relief volunteers were also given certificates of appreciation by the assembly members, and a prayer was also offered at the end of the ceremony.
People from different walks of life, social workers and community leaders participated in the ceremony and expressed their determination that ICNA Relief will continue its mission of serving humanity.
