Sikh’s community Villager Farmers Market offers special discount on more than 100 products in Ramadan

NEWYORK: Villager Farmers Market, a superstore run by the Sikh community on Coney Island in New York, has offered special discounts on more than 100 products in honor of Ramadan.

Supermarket owner Tej Rana said that he wants to provide maximum relief to Muslims during the month of Ramadan.

It has been seen that usually food prices increase with the arrival of Ramadan, but the Villagers Farmers Market, located at the intersection of Coney Island and Foster Avenue in Brooklyn, has reduced the prices of almost all daily necessities.

A large number of Muslim shoppers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Turkey and other countries were approaching to Villagers Farmers Market to take advantage of its special Ramadan discount offer.

Villager Farmers Market owner Tej Rana said that we have decided that we should not make any profit during the Ramdan but we would like that our Muslim brothers to observe Ramadan with great spirit.

Sikh businessman Tej Rana’s Villager Farmers Market has reduced the prices of almost 100 essential commodities including flour, sugar, rice, pulses, ghee, oil, or fruits and vegetables during the month of Ramadan and by doing such act he has not only demonstrated the spirit of selflessness but also set a good example of religious tolerance.
