NEWYORK: New York City Mayor Eric Adams, in collaboration with the Community Affairs Unit and the Office of Ethnic and Community Media, hosted a special roundtable meeting with Muslim media representatives on arrival of holy month of Ramadan.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the problems, needs of the Muslim community and the steps taken by the city administration to solve them.
The Mayor appreciated the services of the Muslim community and said that the Muslim community is playing a prominent role in the harmony between different communities in the New York.
He emphasized that listening to the voice of the Muslim community and taking steps to solve their problems is among the top priorities of his administration.
Mayor Eric Adams gave a detailed briefing on the work done during his tenure during the meeting and discussed with the participants regarding the congestion fee in the city.
He said that if he is re-elected as mayor, he will take important steps for the further development and improvement of the city.
Representatives from various Muslim media organizations participated in the roundtable meeting and shared their experiences and suggestions.
The participants had an open discussion with the Mayor and his team and discussed various aspects for better cooperation and engagement in the future.
The Director of the Mayor’s Office of Ethnic and Community Media said that such sessions are helpful in promoting harmony and mutual cooperation between different communities.
It was reiterated that more such programs will be organized in the future to build strong relationships with all communities.
