NEWYORK: ICNA Relief Bronx organized annual banquet which was attended by large number of participants from the Bronx and Yonkers.
The Bronx Borough President Vaneesa Gibson also made a special appearance at the event, while Senator Nathalia was also present on the occasion.
The program was moderated by Mah Noor, a senior volunteer of ICNA Relief, and Shabbir Gul, in-charge of Bronx ICNA Relief who made arrangements of the programs despite his illness. Mohammad Haider Shah recited Holy Quran while Shabbir Gul recited Hamd o Naat.
ICNA Relief New York’sArea Manager Ishaq Al-Par welcomed the guests. Motivational speaker and well-known preachers Imam Shameeq, in his address, praised the work of ICNA Relief and said that the work of ICNA Relief is a form of Da’wah, which is done beyond color and race. He described the work of ICNA Relief Bronx as unparalleled.
ICNA Relief’s in-charge of North East Arshad Jamal also appreciated the services of the team working under the leadership of Shabbir Gul.
ICNA Sister Bronx also played an important role in the success of the event, including Nabila Ahmed, Bushra Iqbal, Kausar Zubair and Nabila Dar.
Kausar Zubair and Nabila Dar emphasized the importance of charity and service to the people with reference to the Quran and Hadith.
Special certificates were awarded to ICNA Relief Bronx volunteers. The Bronx Borough President distributed certificates among the volunteers and praised the services of ICNA Relief, especially remembering their services during the pandemic and the Bronx Fire.
Almost all the speakers appreciated Shabbir Gul’s services. Shabbir Gul thanked all those who supported him during his illness and remembered him in their prayers.
Later, Muammar Al-Anwar, in-charge of Hunger Prevention New York, offered a special prayer at the end of the event.
