A five-year-old Afghan boy has died in an accident near the Moria hotspot on the Greek island of Lesvos, local media reports said Tuesday.
The boy was playing inside a cardboard box in the courtyard of a building when a truck ran over him, state broadcaster ERT reported.
The truck driver has been arrested, while police are investigating the incident.
It was not clear why the boy was in the cardboard box or whether he was a resident of the Moria camp.
The Moria Reception and Identification Center on Lesvos Island houses 12,000 refugees in a facility designed for 3,000 people.
Due to overcrowding, thousands of people are forced to live in makeshift camps.
