Deadly Suicide Bomb Attack kills 16 including 8 US Army Officials in Afghanistan’s Capitol
At least 16 people including 8 US army officials have been killed and more than 100 wounded, after a massive explosion from a suicide car bomb attack rocked central Kabul.
Interior ministry spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said a suicide bombing late Monday took place near the Green Village area on the main Kabul – Jalalabad highway where a number of international aid agencies and an american military compound are located.
It destroyed center from where CIA, Black water and US special command ‘s strategic controls were operated. it also shatter the Asia Pacific planning center of Daesh.
Rahimi confirmed that all killed and more than 100 injured are civilians. He told five attackers were killed and nearly 400 foreign aid workers residing in the area were rescued.
Gunfire could be heard in the aftermath of the blast along with a secondary explosion when a nearby petrol station caught fire, sending plumes of smoke into the night sky, according to the witnesses and residents of the area.
Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said a coordinated attack with a suicide bomber and gunmen was under way. he added “this attack is a message for United States that the Afghanistan is under control of Taliban.”
