Annual Basant festival held in Atlantic city
NEW JERSEY: A prominent business and social figure in the Pakistani-American community organized annual Basant festival in Atlantic city in collaboration with the city’s multicultural department.
A succession of kites featuring beautiful and unique designs created such a captivating spectacle that festival participants were irresistibly drawn to the kite-flying action.
Along with young people and enthusiasts, women, children, and the elderly were all seen immersed in the festive spirit of Basant.
The Pakistani flag was also seen waving in the air, further enhancing the event’s atmosphere.

Renowned singer Saima Kashif entertainted the audience with beautiful songs.
Community leaders and prominent figures from various fields also attended the Basant festival.
A journalist visiting from Pakistan Nayyar Ali moderated the event. Journalist leader Afzal Butt praised Malik Suleman’s efforts to promote Pakistani culture and unite the community.
Officials from Atlantic City’s Multicultural Department also participated in the festival.

Speakers said that such cultural festivals serve as a means to share joy, spread smiles, and bring diverse cultures closer together.
US officials presented citations to the event organizers and other distinguished figures.
Participants thoroughly enjoyed the festival, which was held under the open sky amidst pleasant weather. The Basant festival concluded with the flying of the largest kite.
