NEWYORK: Pakistani American community paid rich tribute to national leadership for making vital role in peace agreement between US and Iran.
The peace agreement between Iran and the US has raised the prestige of Pakistan all over the world.
The Pakistani American community in New York organized a special ceremony at a local restaurant to pay tribute to the heroes of peace, national political and military leadership. The event began with recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
A large number of the Pakistani American community participated in the ceremony. Rana Saeed moderated the event and welcomed all the guests.
The event was attended by a large number of officials and members of all major political parties, social, welfare and business organizations of Pakistan in New York, while Consul General Amir Ahmed Atuzai attended as a special guest.
Addressing the participants, Amir Atuzai said that the international community are acknowledging the Pakistan’s excellent diplomacy for restoration of peace in the region.
Political parties representatives said that Pakistan’s role in stopping the third world war will be remembered and recent Pakistan’s efforts for maintaining peace in the region have made Pakistanis proud all over the world.
The participation of the Pakistani community, irrespective of their political affiliations, proved that there is nothing greater than love for the homeland.
The speakers said that for the first time in its 75-year history, Pakistan has achieved so many successes and it is high time that our national leadership should stabilize the national economy after the Iran-US agreement.
Pir Usman Ghani, who had come specially from Pakistan, and other speakers also expressed their views. Later, Pir Usman Ghani presented the blessings received from the holy places in Saudi Arabia.
