American Muslim community holds fundraising event for congress candidate Dr. Adam Hamawy

NEW JERSEY: American Muslim community held a fundraising event in New Jersey for Muslim Congressional candidate Dr. Adam Hamawy.

The event was held at the residence of well-known social figure Nick Saleem in New Jersey, in which a large number of people from the Muslim community, social and business figures and people from different walks of life participated.

The event was moderated by Danish Nick Saleem.

The event’s hosts, Ibrahim Fahmy, Dr. Jabeen Ahmed, Mona Soliman and Dina Soliman, welcomed the guests and stressed the need for the Muslim community to be politically active.

The speakers said that Dr. Adam Hamawy is a Muslim, a humanitarian, a former military officer and a renowned surgeon.

They said that Dr. Hamawy dedicated his entire life to serving humanity and served as a trauma surgeon in war and disaster areas such as Iraq and Haiti.

The participants said that Muslim representation in American politics is the need of the hour and candidates like Dr. Adam Hamawy can be an effective voice for the community.

Dr. Adam Hamawy recounted his transformative experience in Gaza, saying that for him it was not an ordinary war, but rather innocent men, women and children were deliberately targeted.

He said that the people he cared for were victims of conditions that he sees as genocide.

Dr. Adam Hamawy said that when he realized that the responsibility of doctors and nurses like him is not limited to treatment, but we also have to come forward as a witness so that we can tell the people what is really happening there and how our tax money is being used.

Host of the event Nick Saleem thanked all the guests and said that this is an important goal. He said that Islamophobia is a problem in today’s era, but more than that, it is also a fact that our people are often ignored in development opportunities.

He said that if we want better for our future generations, we must be generous and practical, whether it is financial support or contacting people and encouraging them to vote.

During the event, participants also contributed financially to the election campaign and expressed their determination to run a vigorous campaign to make Dr. Adam Hamawy successful from the NJ-12 constituency of New Jersey.

Later, the guests met with Dr. Adam Hamawy and expressed their best wishes for his election campaign.
