NEWYORK: Pakistan People Party USA organized a ceremony to celebrate “Marka-e-Haq” in New York in which political, social and community figures participated.
The purpose of the ceremony was to pay tribute to Pakistan’s achievements and highlight the patriotic spirit of overseas Pakistanis.
The special guests of the ceremony held at a local restaurant in New York included Senator Mahmudul Hassan and Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Asim Iftikhar Ahmed.
The office bearers and workers of the PPP USA warmly welcomed the special guests them and presented them with bouquets of flowers.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The ceremony was moderated by Raja Asad, who welcomed the distinguished guests and participants on their arrival. He said that overseas Pakistanis have always stood by their homeland and demonstrate unity and solidarity on every national occasion.
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, said that the Pakistani nation has proven in every difficult time that it is a dignified, strong and united nation.
He said that Pakistanis abroad are not only highlighting the positive image of their homeland but are also making Pakistan’s name shine with their achievements in various fields.
Senator Mahmudul Hassan said that the success in the Marka-e-Haq is the success of the entire Pakistani nation and Pakistanis living around the world have always been united for the defense, development and stability of their homeland.
He said that the all challenges can be faced with national unity, democratic values and people’s power.
PPP USA President Khalid Awan said that the government of Pakistan, the brave armed forces and all Pakistanis have achieved this success through unity, which is not only the success of Pakistan or the Pakistani nation but the success of the entire Muslim Ummah.
The speakers described the success in Marka-e-Haq as a symbol of national unity, democratic stability and the determination of the Pakistani nation, saying that Pakistanis living around the world are united for the development, stability and national dignity of their homeland.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of people from various political and social circles, business figures, community leaders and people from different walks of life, including the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
The participants expressed their best wishes for Pakistan and emphasized the promotion of national unity and mutual harmony.
Later, the participants expressed their determination that the Pakistani community abroad would continue its positive role for the stability and development of Pakistan.
