NEWYORK: Pakistani American social figure Sadia Taqi’s mother Farkhunda Parveen passed away in New York. She was 72.
Sadia’s mother belonged to Pakistan’s city of Lahore and resident of Queens, New York.
According to the family, the funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered on Saturday after Zuhr prayers at Mecca Masjid, while the burial will be held at graveyard in New Jersey.
The New York-based social organization One Nation US has contacted Al-Rayyan Muslim Funeral Service for the burial and other arrangements of the deceased.
Sadia Taqi’s father also passed away 6 months ago. The Pakistani-American community expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of the deceased.
