ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and national unity across the country.
The nation renewed its resolve to demonstrate more hard work, unity and sacrifice for the development, stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
The day is celebrated to commemorate the historic Lahore Resolution passed on 23rd March in 1940 which set the agenda of a separate homeland for Muslims of the Sub-Continent.
The day dawned with thirty-one-gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one-gun salute in provincial capitals.
After Fajar prayer, special prayers were offered for the security, development and prosperity of the country and national unity as well as for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.
