Cultural society of Bergen County, Moms food pantry provide food supplies to prisoners during Ramadan

NEW JERSEY: The Cultural Society of Bergen County provided all the necessary supplies to the Department of Corrections in New Jersey for Muslim prisoners so that they could prepare food during Sehri and Ifar in the holy month of Ramadan.

The Culture Society of Bergen County and Mom’s Food Pantry sent essential food items for Muslim prisoners in the Department of Corrections.

The Culture Society of Bergen County has been carrying out various social and welfare activities for the past several years.

The items provided for prisoners, including dates, drinks, snacks, and all items are halal. This year, by making Ramadan easy and convenient for prisoners, they have given the message that along with prayers, service to the community should also be performed.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office staff arrived to receive the inmates’ Sehri and Iftar supplies. Officers and staff also helped transfer the supplies from the store to the vehicles.
