Indian war-mongering to be responded more strongly than before, PPP Senator

NEWYORK: Pakistan People Party’s Senator Rana Mahmoodul Hassan has said that India is our neighbor but we do not want any kind of confrontation with it, saying that if war is imposed on us, Pakistan will respond more strongly than before.

He was addressing a dinner organized in his honor in New York.

Senior PPP leaders Sarwar Chaudhry, Abdul Rauf Bhali and local journalist and owner of Made in Pakistan Syed Zahid Shahbaz hosted a dinner in honor of Senator Rana Mahmoodul Hassan at a private restaurant in Coney Island Avenue which was participated by the Pakistani-American community members.

Addressing the participants, the special guest Senator Rana Mahmoodul Hassan said that a new era of parliamentary-level relations with the United States has begun. He said that Pakistan’s armed forces and the entire nation together shattered India’s dream of supremacy in the region in May last year.

The dinner was attended by a large number of people from different walks of life, including local leaders and workers of the PPP.

Hosts of the event, Sarwar Chaudhry and Zahid Shahbaz said that everyone has gathered here in love with Rana Mahmoodul Hassan.

They said that we are all with Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba in the effort he has taken to establish relations between Pakistan and America at the parliamentary and public levels.

Pharmacist Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba said that the Pakistani American community here is among the top ten in paying taxes, but unfortunately we do not get the representation we deserve.

Earlier, other speakers participating in the ceremony also expressed their views and presented their requests to Rana Mahmoodul Hassan. The speakers expressed the hope that Mahmoodul Hassan will try to solve the problems faced by overseas Pakistanis.

Later, Senator Rana Mahmoodul Hassan was presented the Ajrak, the symbol of Sindh culture.
