NEWYORK: Chairman of Malik Group of Businesses and senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Danish Malik hosted a dinar in honor of Pakistan’s Senator Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan and Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and Khatib of Badshahi Masjid Lahore, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, who are on US visit, at Khan Baba Restaurant in New York.
Addressing the participants, Senator Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan said that Pakistan-US relations have been fluctuating.

He said that there were lack of coordination at the parliamentary level which will now be strengthened adding that nothing is final in politics.
The ceremony was attended by prominent figures from the political, social and business circles of the Pakistani American community, including American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee APPAC Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, Pharmacist Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba.

Speaking to the participants, Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and Khatib of Badshahi Masjid Lahore Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that overseas Pakistanis, whether in the US or in any other country, are ambassadors of Pakistan.
Pak-US relations, Pakistan’s internal political situation, economic development and social issues were also discussed at the reception.

Religious scholar Tawasur-ul-Hassan Gilani said that the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said, “What you like for yourself, like for your Muslim brother.”
Senator Mahmood-ul-Hassan presented awards to Danish Malik, Dr. Ijaz Ahmed and Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba. Finally, the participants also celebrated the birthday of Jawad Butt, owner of Khan Baba Restaurant, by cutting the cake.
