NEWYORK: ICNA Relief, a social welfare organization in US, organized food pantry in the Bronx New York to distribute food items in low-income families.
The event began with a prayer by the pastor of the Christian community and the imam of the Muslim community.
ICNA Relief volunteers for the food pantry worked with great enthusiasm to help those in need despite the cold weather.

A large number of people including men, women and elderly people from low income group benefited from the food pantry.
ICNA Relief Bronx Incharge Shabbir Gul said that 250 to 300 people benefit from this place every week, while their welfare activities continue throughout the week at different places without discrimination of color or race.

The organization distributed warm clothes, fresh fruits and vegetables, milk and other essential items to the low income families.
A woman officer of the New York Police Department’s Community Affairs Bureau, a social figure of the Pakistani community, Mian Tahir, and other people also volunteered their services at the food pantry.
