RAWALPINDI: Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving country, but no one will be allowed to threaten its sovereignty, territorial integrity and test its resolve.
Addressing officers of the trio-services at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir made it clear that India should not fall prey to any misconception, as Pakistan’s response will be much more swift and intense.
He said a clear message has been conveyed to the Taliban regime in Afghanistan that they have no other option, except to choose between the Fitna al-Khawarij and Pakistan.
Chief of Defence Forces further said the concept of Pakistan is invincible and is protected by the steadfast determination of the heroes and unflinching resolve of a unified nation.
Highlighting the importance of coordinated and joint efforts, the Field Marshal stressed the need for further improving the multi-domain operations under a unified system of the three forces in view of the growing and evolving threats.
Declaring the establishment of the Defence Forces Headquarters as a historic step, he said each service will maintain its individuality for its operational preparedness. However, the Defence Forces Headquarters will coordinate and synergize the operations of the three services.
The Field Marshal said besides a unified command, all the three Armed Forces would continue maintaining their internal autonomy and organizational structure.
