ISLAMABAD: Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Dr Ali Larijani has described Pakistan and Iran as influential regional states with complementary roles.
Briefing Pakistani media in Islamabad, he said Iran is ready to assist in easing tensions between Islamabad and Kabul.
He voiced hope that regional challenges would be resolved through rational dialogue.
Dr Ali Larijani highlighted the presence of militant groups along the shared border and called for enhanced intelligence cooperation and the creation of a joint security mechanism.
