NEWYORK: The funeral prayers of the New York Police Sergeant Rizwan and Officer Salman’s father were offered at the Mecca Masjid in Brooklyn.
The funeral prayers were attended by New York Police officers, family members, friends, local community members and others.
The Imam of the Masjid Qari Osama explained the reality of life and death and highlighted importance of good deeds in Islam.
A large number of people from the community, including police officers, social figures and relatives, attended the funeral prayer and expressed their condolences to the families of Sergeant Rizwan and Officer Salman.
Sergeant Rizwan and Officer Salman thanked those who expressed their condolences on the death of their father and said that the support of the community has encouraged them during this difficult time.
After the funeral prayer, the deceased was buried at the Marlboro Muslim Memorial Cemetery in New Jersey.
