New Jersey Memon Association newly elected officials takes oath

NJMA president $50,000 donates to World Memon Organization education fund

NEWJERSEY: New Jersey Memon Association organized an event on the occasion of the World Memon Organization US-Canada Road Show 2025. The event also included the swearing-in of the newly elected officials of NJMA and the MTCL award ceremony.

The program held at a local banquet in New Jersey aimed to promote community unity, development and leadership, as well as the swearing-in of the new leadership of the New Jersey Memon Association and to encourage those who performed outstandingly in the MTCL Championship.

The special guest of the event was President of the World Memon Organization Salman Iqbal who was warmly welcomed by the audience. He was accompanied by well-known personalities Anis Bakaly, Ashraf Sattar, Ahmed Yousuf, Imran Essani, Irfan and Abdul Basit Gaba. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

After the recitation, prayers were also offered for the deceased members.

Tribute was also paid to Yasmin Mozawalla for her organizational services.

Moderating the event Imran Essani invited the elected leadership of the New Jersey Memon Association to the stage, where the vision, mission and objectives of the organization were highlighted.

After the introduction, the newly elected leadership of the New Jersey Memon Association was sworn in, and World Memon Association President Salman Iqbal administered the oath to the organization’s office bearers.

New Jersey Memon Association Vice President Javed presented a shield of honor to the special guest Salman Iqbal.

The NJMA dedicated committees were also introduced at the ceremony, including Women’s Wing leader Amna Patel, Ayesha Wadiwala, Farina and Huma.

New Jersey Memon Association’s joint secretary Iqbal Bhai presented a token of appreciation to the special guest Anis Bakaly.

The organization’s officials also addressed the participants, NJMA President Abdul Basit Gaba announced a donation of fifty thousand dollars to the World Memon Organization’s education fund.

A participant in the ceremony Hiba Naeem expressed her best wishes for the World Memon Organization in her address to the participants. Later, a video message from her father Naeem Bhai was also played on the screen.

President of the World Memon Organization Salman Iqbal emphasized the Memon community’s commitment to global service, unity, education and business development and said that we should all support each other, because the Memon community has always been at the forefront of serving humanity.

Salman Iqbal presented a token of appreciation to NJMA President Abdul Basit Gaba. While Abdul Basit Gaba presented a special gift to Salman Iqbal.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the USA Canada Ladies Wing Hani Javed addressed the participants and gave a message to the youth to remain active and united.

Anis Bakali also emphasized the involvement and leadership development of the youth.

Anis Bakali was presented with a special gift by Zoya Javed. MTCL Cricket League awards were also distributed, including MVP awards, runner-up trophy and champion trophy.

Salman Iqbal presented the trophy to the captain of the champion team, Imran Razaq, while cheques  were also given to various team owners.

Later, the participants enjoyed the best food and live music.

The event organized with theme of Connect – Grow – Thrive, not only strengthened the unity of the Memon community but also instilled the spirit of service, leadership and development in the younger generation.
