ILLINOIS: Pakistani American businessman in Illinois Ashraf Lakhani, his spouse Mehar Lakhani, hosted an annual dinner in honour of their guests in which more than 600 people from different walks of life attended the event.
The annual dinner titled ‘Night of Friendship’ was held at the Embassy Suites Naperville, where guests were warmly welcomed.
Ashraf Lakhani, a well-known name in the American business community and an active social activist, expressed gratitude to the guests for their participation in the annual dinner.
Addressing the participants, Ashraf Lakhani said that he made this tradition once a year to celebrate a beautiful night with all his friends who are all close to his heart.
Renowned Qawwal Zaheer Abbas, who specially came from England, enthralled the participants with his mesmerizing performance and filled the event with feelings of joy, spirituality, and cultural pride.
Another special aspect of the event was the delicious Pakistani food, which included different types of Biryani, Chicken Tikka, Chapli Kebab, Bihari Kebab, Nihari and Haleem while special Kheer, Jalebi, Paan and other traditional dishes were served to the guests as dessert.
The event was attended by people from different communities, business personalities, social activists and their families. The participants described the event as memorable and heart-touching.
