NEWYORK: Pakistan has hailed President Donald Trump’s peace initiative to advance peace in the Middle East through concrete measures in partnership with the OIC and Arab countries.
Addressing the UN Security Council briefing on the Middle East and the implementation of Resolution 2334, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Palestinian people.
He called for launch of a credible, irreversible political process to realize a sovereign Palestinian state, based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds and Al-Sharif as its capital.
