Pakistan, Russia, China, Iran reaffirm support for peaceful, united Afghanistan

NEWYORK: Fourth quadripartite meeting of foreign ministers of Pakistan, Russia, China and Iran held in New York on the sidelines of UN General Assembly session has reiterated their support for Afghanistan as an independent , united and peaceful state.

The four sides supported effective regional initiative aimed at uplifting Afghanistan’s economy and emphasized importance of continued economic engagement with Afghanistan.

They also emphasized importance of continued humanitarian support to Afghanistan and called on international community to intensify provision of emergency humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
