Anjuman-e-Ghousia International takes out its 40 th annual Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) procession

NEWYORK: Anjuman-e-Ghousia International has taken out its 40 th annual procession to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) from Coney Island Avenue which culminated at the Mecca Masjid while passing through its designated route.

The 40 th annual procession of Eid Milad-un-Nabi began with recitation of Holy Quran. The founder of Anjuman-e-Ghousia International Pir Syed Safdar Hussain Shah recited Darood-e-Taj and renowned Naat Khawan Asghar Chishti recited Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

The organizers of the event also arranged breakfast for the participants of the procession and a cake was also cut to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him). Prayers were also offered prior to start of the procession by the Pir Fazil Qasmi.

The procession was took out under the leadership of religious scholars and Ulema. Social leader Raja Razaq said that the founders of the procession have been honored that their third generation has also joined this procession.

A large number of devotees, Naat Khawan from Brooklyn and other areas participated in the procession.

The participants of the procession were holding green flags besides a large number of women also participated in the procession.

Founder of Anjuman-e-Ghousia Pir Syed Safdar Hussain Shah announced that the procession would be held on August 23 next year, while Safdar Shah’s son Shiraz Shah expressed his gratitude to all the volunteers and said that they would make the arrangements even better next year.

Pir Syed Fazil Ayaz Qasmi shed light on the life of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). He said that organizing and celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi is matter of respect and honor for us.

Addressing the participants, the scholars said that everything in the universe sends blessings and greetings to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

The procession administration also presented a bouquet and an award to New York Police Deputy Inspector Joseph Wernersbach for his services. Police Officer Joseph Wernersbach said that he always received love and affection from this community.

Various camps of Sabeels were set up along the procession route and free food were also distributed to the participants.  The procession of the Eid Milas-un-Nabi celebration passed through its traditional route, turned back to Avenue H and ended at the Mecca Masjid.

Later, a congregation was held at the Makki Masjid for Eid Milad-un-Nabi, in which a large number of devotees participated. Renowned Naat Khawans recited Naat in their beautiful voices.

Addressing the participants, religious scholars said that love for the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is the guarantee of salvation.

A special prayer was offered for the progress, prosperity, success and establishment of peace and order in the world of the Muslim Ummah.
