NEWYORK: The celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) has begun in New York.
The International Milad Council and the Allama Iqbal Community organized an annual procession to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him), in which devotees of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) from different parts of New York gathered at the Tayaba Islamic Center to participate in the procession.
The blessed gathering began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The ceremony was conducted by Mufti Sajjad Madani of the Allama Iqbal Community Center, who welcomed the participants on their arrival. Later, renowned Naat Khawans recited Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The organizers of the procession initially arranged a breakfast for the participants at the Tayyaba Islamic Center.
The guests who came to the procession were welcomed and presented with bouquets. The Milad-un-Nabi procession took out from the Tayyaba Islamic Center in the form of a car rally at its scheduled time.
The procession included beautiful floats based on the replica images of the Holy Kaaba and Masjid-e-Nabwi (SAW). When the car rally reached Avenue H, the scholars and Naat Khawans marched on foot to the Allama Iqbal Community Center.
A large number of devotees participated in the procession. Addressing the participants, Allama Iqbal Community leader Malik Nasir Awan expressed his gratitude to all the guests and participants, including scholars and Naat Khawans.
He said that two halls have been taken for the center, and he wants that the youth to be better trained and guided.
The procession reached Allama Iqbal Community Center and took the form of a gathering, where the scholars, while addressing, said that this is a promise from God to His beloved that the remembrance of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) will remain high in all times.
Various Naat Khawans offered various verses in praise of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to the audience and expressed their devotion.
Other scholars participating in the procession also expressed their thoughts. They said that not everyone is blessed with the privilege of celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him). During the procession, the air echoed with recitation of Darood-o-Salam in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The participants of the procession were also waving green flags in their hands on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
The scholars said that there is no region on this earth where the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) is not celebrated.
They said that we are fortunate to be among those celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Later, Darood-o-Salam was also offered in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The organizer of the procession appreciated the services of the New York Police officers and expressed gratitude. Prayers were also offered for the progress, prosperity and success of the Muslim Ummah.
