NEWYORK: Nassau County legislature candidate Sheharyar Ali vowed to save taxpayers money and said that it will be his privilege to represent Nassau County.
He was speaking at a fundraising event in his honor organized by the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee.
The American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee organized a fundraising event for Sheharyar Ali, a candidate for legislator from Nassau County District 14.
The event was held at the residence of APPAC President Dr. Pervaiz Iqbal, in which Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman attended the event as the special guest.
APPAC Junior Board Chairman Arsal Ijaz, Junior Board Vice President Ali Pervaiz Malik and Dr. Sadia Tahir, along with other community members, attended the event. The event was moderated by Vice President Junior Board Ali Pervaiz Malik.
Bruce Blakeman said that everyone in America gets the opportunity to work hard and play their role, so keep unity among themselves and respect others. He said that Sheharyar Ali should get a chance for the development of the county.
APPAC Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, while introducing his members at the fundraising ceremony, said that we are very happy that Sheharyar Ali is contesting the elections and we are supporting him.
APPAC President Dr. Pervez Iqbal expressed his gratitude to the guests and expressed his best wishes for Sheharyar Ali and said that we should also continue to play an active role in economic and political structure of the US and take part in politics.
Nassau County Legislator Candidate Shehryar Ali said that he is contesting for a better future for our community and it is the time for us to step up and lead urging the Pakistani-American youth should also come forward.
Senior Advisor to the Nassau County Executive Chaudhry Akram urged voters to support Sheharyar Ali for Legislator. Participants of the fundraising event assured Sheharyar Ali of their full support.
