NEWYORK: A prominent social and business figure of the Pakistani American community Amjad Khawaja passed away in New York.
The funeral prayers of Amjad Khawaja were offered at Islamic Center of Long Island.
A large number of relatives, close friends and community members of the Amjad Khawaja attended the funeral prayers.
Amjad Khawaja was laid to rest in the Long Island graveyard. Amjad Khawaja is survived by a widow, three sons, two sisters and grandchildren.
The Pakistani-American community expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Amjad Khawaja and observed that Amjad Khawaja’s selfless services will be remembered.
The late Amjad Khawaja’s father had also worked with former President of Pakistan and lawyer Rafique Tarar. Senior PML-N leader and former federal minister Ghulam Dastgir is Amjad Khawaja’s uncle and federal minister Khurram Dastgir is his cousin.
