NEWYORK: A protest demonstration was held outside the City Hall in New York against mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani in which protestors said that they will not accept communism, socialism and Zohran Mamdani in any way.
A number of protestors including supporters of US President Trump participated in the protest against Mamdani, the first Muslim candidate who also win the primary election for mayor of New York.
The protesters said that Zohran Mamdani’s ideas and election manifesto are a threats to the future of the city.
The protesters were holding American and Israeli flags as well as banners and placards with various demands.
The protesters said that this city has its own traditions and they were afraid that identity of the city will destroy if Zohran Mamdani become the mayor of the city.
The participants of the demonstration also held pictures of other candidates, who were contesting for mayor of New York City.
The protesters said that they do not care about the party or religion of the mayor candidates but wanted such person to be elected as mayor who can save the city from deterioration.
The protesters further said that they will continue their movement and encourage every voter not to elect Zohran Mamdani.
