PAMA hosts dinner in honor of Pakistan Baitul Mal MD

NEWYORK: The Pakistani American Merchants Association in New York hosted a dinner in honor of Pakistan Baitul Mal’s Managing Director Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt.

The association also announced to elect Danish Malik as president, Chaudhry Tanveer as vice president, and Saghir Ahmed and Sadaqat Chaudhry as senior vice presidents for Brooklyn Mela committee.

Pakistan Baitul Mal’s Managing Director Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt arrived at Coney Island Avenue to attend a dinner on the invitation of the Pakistani American Merchants Association. The officials of the merchant organization welcomed the guest and presented him with a bouquet.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

A large number of members of the Pakistani American community attended the dinner.

PAMA Chairman Javed Khan gave a brief introduction of the organization. The event was moderated by Aziz Butt, who welcomed the special guest and others.

Addressing the participants, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Managing Director Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt praised the services of the Merchant Association. He said that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal is working hard to provide education to deserving children and empower women through 190 centers.

Pakistani American Merchants Association also announced to elect Danish Malik as the president and Chaudhry Tanveer, Zameer Ahmed and Sadaqat Chaudhry as senior vice presidents for the Brooklyn Mela Committee.

Addressing the participants, the newly elected office bearers said that Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt is a philanthropist. They said that they will work to improve the image of our beloved homeland by going beyond political affiliation.

Earlier, the Merchants Association also presented various suggestions and recommendations to the Managing Director of Pakistan Baitul Mal, Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt. Shaheen Butt said that they make every possible effort to help every deserving person as much as possible.
