
NEWYORK: Jafferia Association of North America took out mourning procession in Manhattan, New York to commemorate and pay tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.
A large number of mourners participated in the procession, including young, men, women, old people, and children. Symbols of the martyrs of Karbala, Zuljanah, Flag and other relics were displayed while a lament was also recited in English.
The participants of the procession said that the incident of Karbala would keep reminding the world about the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), a grandson of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), and his supporters resistance against the oppressors for upholding the true spirit of Islam.
The mourners kept reciting lament and chest beating during the entire route of the procession.
Sabeel and Tabaruk were also arranged for the participants of the procession. The procession proceeded through its designated routes and ended at Madison Avenue.
