NEWYORK: Pakistani film stars Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed arrived at New York to promote their upcoming film Love Guru.
Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan said that they met for the first time in New York. The film Love Guru will be released on Eid al-Adha.
Pakistani film and drama industry’s shining stars Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed were visiting US to promote their new film Love Guru.
The film’s launch ceremony was held at a local center in New York. The film’s hero Humayun Saeed and heroine Mahira Khan were given a grand welcome upon their arrival.
In response to questions from the audience, both the film stars said that coming to New York is a very pleasant feeling and they met each other for the first time in this city.
Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed went Times Square to promote the film, during which they also met their fans.
The trailer film Love Guru was shown on the big screen and trucks, which became the center of everyone’s attention. In response to a question at the launching event, Humayun Saeed said that he wants to make ten films in a year.
Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed’s film promotion also featured Onaija Andrew Robinson, a New Yorker who became internet sensation couple of months back when she flew to Karachi after falling in love with Karachi based boy whom she met online.
The participants were not only surprised to see Onaija but also took pictures with her. Earlier, in a conversation with the audience, Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan narrated many interesting incidents.
To a question, Humayun Saeed said that a person can and does fall in love more than once.
Prominent figures from the Pakistani American community also participated in the promotion of the film.
Event organizer Asif Jamal introduced the prominent figures of Pakistani American community to the film stars. He said that Love Guru is a film from our country and we have to make it successful.
The audience participating in the promotion and launching event of the film Love Guru also asked many questions to the film stars with regard to their favorite characters and the film industry.
