NYPD celebrates AAPI heritage month

NEWYORK: The New York Police Department organized a spectacular and colorful event to mark Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage month.

The event was held at the One Police Plaza Auditorium in New York and was attended by police officers from different countries.

The Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage month event was co-hosted by various organizations of the New York Police Department, including people from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Korea, the Philippines, and other countries.

The participants were welcomed through posters in different languages, which was a practical demonstration of different cultures. The American anthem was also sung at the beginning of the event.

The purpose of the event was to recognize the historical heritage of various Asian and Pacific Islander cultures, and their contributions to American society.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch and New York Police officers, including representatives from various countries, gave messages of solidarity and intercultural harmony.

The guest of honor praised the community’s services during his speeches and called the community’s support for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month important.

Recorded messages from New York Police officers from various countries were also played on the occasion.

The event also featured various cultural shows that exposed the audience to the colorful and heritage of Asian culture.

Later, shields were also distributed among police officers who had shown outstanding performance in various departments, including Pakistani-origin Deputy Inspector Misbah Noor.

The event was not only a cultural celebration but also a message of solidarity through which the New York Police demonstrated the practical ways to strengthen ties between different communities.
