LAHORE: Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission organized an event in Lahore which was attended by federal ministers, members of the national and provincial assemblies and other important personalities, as well as PML(N) officials from Saudia Arabia and other countries.
The participants of the event said that overseas Pakistanis will continue to serve their country.
Federal minister for religious affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf, Vice Chairman of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission, Barrister Amjad Malik, President of the PML-N Saudi Arabia Sheikh Saeed Ahmed and members of the national and provincial assemblies attended the event.
PML(N) Saudia Arabia president Sheikh Saeed Ahmed said that Pakistan is our dignity and pride and Pakistan is our identity, for which the overseas Pakistanis living all over the world are always ready to serve the country and the nation.
He said that overseas Pakistanis were grateful to prime minister Shahbaz Sharif Sharif and army chief Syed Asim Munir, who have initiated practical steps to solve the problems of overseas Pakistanis.
Federal minister for religious affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousaf and Vice Chairman of Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Barrister Amjad Malik said that the state was performing the role of mother of its citizen as on one hand the challenges faced within the country were being dealt with while on other hand relief was being provided to Pakistanis living abroad by formulating policies to solve their problems with respect and dignity.
The ceremony was also addressed by PML-N officials from Saudi Arabia, Adnan Iqbal Butt, Mahmud-ul-Haq Dogar, Chaudhry Sajjad Ali, and league officials from all over the world. They reiterated their commitment that Overseas Pakistanis are the vanguard of the government and armed forces of Pakistan and will serve the country and nation more vigorously in the future than in the past.
