NEWYORK: Pakistani drama industry’s famous couple Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain say that there is more margin for acting in negative roles.
They were speaking at the Meet and Greet held in New York.
Pakistani drama and film industry actor Yasir Hussain and his spouse actress Iqra Aziz attended the Meet and Greet organized by New York Vibes at Shirazi Cafe.
In response to a question from the host of the session, Ateeq Qadri, Yasir Hussain said that the drama industry is dominant in Pakistan and the tendency to watch films is low.
A large number of Pakistani community members from different walks of life participated in the Meet and Greet.
In response to a question, actor Yasir Hussain said that playing the role of a hero is not difficult while there were more opportunity of acting in negative characters and he like them. He said that before marriage he had many fans, but now they have reduced.
To a question about role of Iqra Aziz in Yasir Hussain’s film Javed Iqbal, she said that we, husband and wife, are not the decision makers of each other in professional life. She said that she was shocked after seeing the first glimpse.
During a rapid-fire session, it was revealed that Iqra Aziz likes to eat biryani while Yasir Hussain likes to eat samosas.
Social and business personality Ateeq Qadri and owner of Shirazi Restaurant Shiraz Khan said that the Pakistani community in New York is very generous and lively and they will organize such programs in the future as well. Participants in the Meet and Greet also asked questions to Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz.
Replying to a question, Actor Yasir Hussain said that since he starts his career from the theater so he also changes the dialogues while acting.
Earlier, Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz, in response to questions asked by fans, advised them to use social media positively and in a limited manner as taking social media too seriously can lead to mental problems.
