NEWYORK: Tariq Memorial Charitable Foundation held its annual gala dinner in which fundraising was also done to continue its charitable activities.
Tariq Memorial Charitable Foundation held its annual gala dinner in a private hall in Brooklyn, New York. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The ceremony was attended by members of the Pakistani community from various walks of life, including political, social, and business figures.
Rich tribute was also paid to the founders of the organization. Reception stalls were also set up to guide the participants in the fundraising ceremony, where literature based on information about the foundation was available.
The participants were informed about the aims and objectives of the establishment of the foundation, its welfare activities, and procedures.
President of the Tariq Memorial Charitable Foundation Javed Sheikh said that since its establishment in 2007, it has been providing scholarships to needy children, distributing rations to low-income families and carrying out many other welfare activities in the last eighteen years.
A detailed documentary was also shown to the participants of the event to inform them about the foundation’s work. The participants generously donated to support the non-profit organization’s journey of service to the people.
