NEWYORK: The American Pakistani Advocacy Group Cares (APAG Cares) along with Councilmember Linda Lee conducted its annual winter clothing drive at the Islamic Foundation of New York in Bellerose, Queens.
APAG Cares team distributed new jackets, gloves, hoodies, hats, scarfs and socks. Such an overwhelming response from the community.
The community and the mosque was very appreciative of APAG efforts for distributing brand new winter clothes.
APAG President Ali Rashid said, “We have provided warm clothes to the needy as per out capacity, but more help is needed.”
A large number of low income group people participated in the winter drive. APAG board members and volunteers actively participated in the winter drive, saying that they believe in serving humanity regardless of color or race.
The Islamic Foundation and the local community appreciated APAG’s efforts and also expressed their best wishes for the expansion of their organization’s charitable activities.
