NEWYORK: Pakistani American community celebrated appointment of Pakistani American Karam Mohsin as police officer in New York Police Department.
Karam Mohsin is a son of Mohsin Zaheer, a senior journalist and social personality of Pakistani American community in New York.
Prominent Pakistani American businessman and social personality Ahsan Chugtai hosted a surprise celebration party in honor of Karam Mohsin and his family at local restaurant’s hall.
The Pakistani community members warmly welcomed the Mohsin Zaheer and his family on their arrival and congratulated the Karam Mohsin for his appointment as police officer in NYPD. They said that Karam Mohsin made the entire community proud by completing his graduation and joining the New York Police as an officer.
Addressing participants, Ahsan Chugtai said that Mohsin Zaheer is not only honest and sincere but in fact he is also his mentor and whatever and where he is today is because of Mohsin Zaheer.
A large number of business and social personalities including representatives of Pakistani American organizations also participated in the event. Community leaders Dr. Ijaz Ahmed and Dr. Parvaiz Iqbal congratulated Mohsin Zaheer on the appointment of his son Karam Mohsin in the police .
NYPD’s police inspector Adeel Rana of Pakistani origin also participated in the surprise party. He said that it is very welcoming that our new generation is coming forward in different fields and it is our duty to guide the young generation.
A large number of the journalist community was also present on the occasion and congratulated the Mohsin Zaheer and his family. Addressing participants, senior journalists Azim Mian, Asif Jamal, Ayeza Irfan and Moiz Siddiqui said that Mohsin Zaheer has given exemplary upbringing to his children and they were proud of him.
Other community leaders participating in the surprise party said that Mohsin Zaheer is a remarkable personality and our valuable asset.
The chief guest Mohsin Zaheer and his son Karam Mohsin also spoke on this occasion. They said that today is a very happy and proud day for them. They said that best example of giving something back to the country and community is probably in America.
The participants also cut cake to celebrate Karam Mohsin’s appointment as a police officer in the New York Police Department.
