HOUSTON: A prominent figure in the Pakistani and Indian American communities Naushad Karam Ali has announced his candidacy for mayor of Sugar Land in a event held at Houston Museum of Natural Sciences.
The event was attended by dignitaries and business figures from the Pakistani, Indian and Asian American communities.
The mayoral election of Sugar Land will be held on May 3. Naushad Karam Ali, who has served as a city council member in Sugar Land, adjacent to Houston, Texas, for six years, has announced his candidacy for the position of mayor of Sugar Land City.
Naushad made this announcement at a special event held at the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences, which was also attended by prominent business figures from the Pakistani, Indian and Asian American communities, including Ali Sheikhani, Nader Dhanani and other dignitaries.
Talking with Voice of South Asia, Naushad Karam Ali, who holds a prominent position in the Pakistani and Indian American communities due to his services, said that he is determined to continue serving the people by winning the election as Mayor of Sugar Land.
Speaking at the event, renowned American business tycoon Nader Dhanani announced his full support for Naushad Karam Ali and said that Naushad Karam Ali is a great person and a great leader.
