NEWYORK: One of the founders of Urdu journalism in New York, publisher and editor of Urdu Times, Khalilur Rehman passed away in New York after prolong ailment.
He was under treatment at hospital due to illness. Khalil ur Rehman had settled in US during late 70 and he was a respected name in Urdu journalism. He was one of the prominent personalities who spent most of his life in the service of Urdu language.
He is survived by a widow, two sons and a daughter. His services for Urdu journalism in America will always be remembered. The Pakistani American community and the journalist community have expressed their heartfelt sorrow and grief over the demise of Khalilur Rehman.
They have prayed for departed soul and condoled to his family to bear this irreparable loss. They said that death of Khalilur Rehman has created space in Urdu journalism which may not be filled in future.
