FBI arrests co-accused involved in $68 million daycare fraud case

NEWYORK: A co-accused in the $68 million daycare fraud in New York Dr. Gohar Ali was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the JFK airport when he was trying to escape to Pakistan.

Gohar Ali Khan from Peshawar, Pakistan, came to America 10 to 12 years back. According to available information, he is named as co-accused in a recent $68 million day care fraud case in New York and was under investigation for some of the charges.

Sources disclosed that he used to pretend to people that he was a doctor in Pakistan and worked as an agent for various adult day cares based in New York.

They said that Dr. Gohar used to assist in the recruitment of seniors and elderly people and get a commission in return. He tried to escape to Pakistan after initiation of investigation however investigation agencies personnel arrested him at airport terminal.

It is also disclosed that the law enforcement agency personnel raided his residence last week and seized some important documents. Sources say that more arrests are expected in this case.
