NEWYORK: The head of Pakistani Caucus in the US congress and candidate for Congress Tom Suozzi has strongly reiterated his support for Pakistan and said that Pakistan’s internal political affairs are its own internal affairs however US will stand with Pakistan in any situation.
A special meet-and-greet program was organized for Congressional candidate Tom Suozzi , head of the Pakistan Caucus in the US Congress, by the American Pakistani Advocacy Group.
Addressing participants, Senator Tom Suozzi said that we are supporters of Pakistan, Pakistan’s internal political affairs are their own internal affairs, but we will stand with Pakistan in any situation.
Speaking on the occasion, head of the American Pakistani Advocacy Group Ali Rashid said that we want to ensure that the caucus moves in a positive direction with Tom’s leadership and it is better for the interests of Pakistan.
He said that objective of the program is to encourage positive dialogue and ensure that Pakistani community cast their votes outside the community.
Ali Rashid discussed the current situation in Gaza and expressed deep concern over human rights violations. He called for a ceasefire in Gaza and said that the protection of human lives should be the first priority.
On this occasion, Congressman Tom Suozzi also spoke about the situation in Gaza and said that the violations of human rights in Gaza should be stopped immediately and the people there should get their rights.
New York State Senator John Liu and Assemblyman David Weprin also strongly supported Congressman Tom Su0zzi and appealed to the American Pakistani community to support Tom Suozzi’s campaign. Both leaders said that Suozzi’s stance and policies towards Pakistan should be supported. At the end of the program, everyone chanted slogan of Suozzi and Pakistan Zindabad together.
The participants in the program expressed strong commitment in support of Tom Suozzi and pledged their support to make him successful in the elections.
