PTI stages protest demonstration for release of Imran Khan

NEWYORK: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s leaders and workers of New York staged protest demonstration outside the UN headquarters for release of PTI founder Imran Khan.

The protesters demanded the government to release Imran Khan. PTI’s supporters gathered outside the UN headquarters for the release of Imran Khan, who is incarcerated since August last year.

The protest was recorded during the speech of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. A large number of supporters of Imran Khan, including the leaders and workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf, also participated in the demonstration.

The demonstrators carried banners, placards, pictures of their leader and also raised PTI flags.

Addressing on the occasion, PTI leaders said that Imran Khan is the voice of Pakistani people. They said that human rights violations were being done in Pakistan for political revenge, which was not acceptable in any way.

Protesters said that protest is their democratic right and Pakistani people and overseas Pakistanis will continue their struggle for the release of their leader Imran Khan.
