NEW JERSEY: Another honor in the name of Pakistani American in New Jersey as first Pakistani origin Trooper in police department Mudduser Malik has been promoted as rank of sergeant in New Jersey state police.
A Pakistani-origin officer Mudduserr Malik in Jersey Police was earlier promoted to the rank of state Trooper eleven years ago in 2013, after which he became the first Pakistani-origin trooper.
Now the department has decided to promote him in next rank. After the approval of New Jersey State Police Superintendent Colonel Patrick, Mudduser Malik has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the Community Outreach Unit.
He is also the president of the New Jersey State Police Muslim Officer Society and will assume his new position and new responsibilities on September 21.
NYPD Muslim Officer Society President Inspector Adeel Rana and Vice President Captain Waheed Akhtar and others celebrated the promotion of Mudduser Malik at Sweetness Restaurant located at Coney Island Avenue where all friends were gathered and cut a cake together.
The Pakistani origin officers say that the promotion of the Mudduser Malik to the post of Sergeant is a source of pride for Pakistani community in America.
