RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir has paid tribute to sacrifices of martyrs saying our armed forces displayed exemplary courage, bravery and skill in the September battle, which will not only be recorded in history in golden words but also an inspiration for generations to come.
In his special message on the occasion of Pakistan Defense Day, the Army Chief said that the 6th of September is a significant exhibition in our national and Military history called the defense of the homeland day.
He said on this day, our land, sea and air forces fought alongside the nation and crushed the evil ambitions of the enemy who is much bugger in size.
He said the great spirit of national unity and solidarity seen on the occasion of the September war is a source of pride for our Armed Forces and the nation.
The Army Chief devoted with the same spirit of national unity and solidarity, Pakistan Army is performing the duty of guarding the borders of the homeland.
He said our Armed Forces displayed exemplary courage, bravery, and skill in the September battle, which will not only be recorded in history in golden words but also an inspiration for generations to come.
The Army Chief paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs while quoting surah Al-Baqarah verse 14 in the Holy Quran. It is said: (and those who are killed in the way of Allah, do not call them dead, they are alive, but you are not aware of it). This verse reflects the high status of the martyrs and Allah’s grace upon them.
He said today we salute the brave officers and men of Pakistan Army who sacrificed their lives to defend the motherland.
The Army Chief said our martyrs are a priority for us and we want to fulfill and mark the responsibility of sanctity and safety of our martyrs and their families.
He said the motto of Pakistan army is faith, piety and jihad in the cause of Allah is not only our motto but is also our greatest quality and toll that distinguishing us from the ambitions of our enemies.
He said Pakistan Army is committed and well equipped to defend the homeland and every officer and soldier is carrying out the duty of security and safety of Pakistan with the spirit of September in his heart.
Gneral Asim Munir said the bravery with which the Pakistan Army and the people fought the scourge of terrorism and are still doing it has no precedent in the world.
He said the monster of insurgency which has been controlled by our forces with bravery and gallantry is a success which no other country could get.
He said today, being ahead of it and thanks to the law enforcement agencies, Pakistan is safe from instability.
The Army Chief said that digital terrorism and the 5 th generation war are emerging challenges for us to cope with.
He said comparatively the digital terrorism is more dangerous than the traditional terrorism and the collusion of anti-national elements and foreign agencies has made this digital terrorism more complex and dangerous.
The Army Chief clarified that while remaining committed to national unity, we are also fighting the threat of digital terrorism and the world knows that the determination of the Pakistani nation and Armed Forces is unbreakable.
In his message, the Army Chief reiterated his resolve that no one can weaken our resolve for a peaceful and secure Pakistan and we want warm relations with all our neighboring countries.
He said despite the desire for peaceful co-existence, the countrymen are always ready and alert to defend their country and the sanctity and defense of our dear motherland is our priority and the Pakistani Forces are determined and ready to respond to any aggression against this pure soil.
The Army Chief emphasized on the peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue saying the united nations should understand that peace in the region is subject to a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue.
He said it is imperative to adhere to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the un resolutions and despite Indian aggression and violation of human rights, determination and courage of Kashmiri brothers is admirable.
The Army Chief made it clear that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice in favor of the Palestinians as Israeli aggression in Gaza is a black mark on the global conscience.
The Army Chief emphasized on the importance of unity saying we renew the pledge that we will remain united with the commitment to the security, development and prosperity of our beloved country.
Army Chief said we will forget the differences and show exemplary unity and harmony as long as we remain united, no power in the world can harm Pakistan.
