Arbaen procession takes out from Queens New York

NEWYORK: The annual central procession of Arbaen for the martyrs of Karbala, organized by Jafferia council USA and Jafferia Youth New York, was taken out from Queens New York in which mourners paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.

A large number of mourners including men, women, elders and children participated in the procession.

The procession started from Main street and Union street and like every year representatives of local Masajid, Imambargahs and religious figures participated in the procession.

Addressing the participants of the procession, scholars said that the incident of Karbala teaches to stand firm in the face of cruel oppressive and false forces and no power in the world can stop mourners from mourning remembering the great sacrifice and martyrdom of Hazrat Hussain (RA) and his followers in Karbala.

The mourners raised green and red flags and moved towards their destination under the shadow of Ghazi Abbas flag.

Jafferia council US leader Raja Abid Hussain Namardar said that we have been taking out this procession for last 29 years which raises the voice of every victim and oppressed without discrimination.

Raja Abid Hussain appealed to the US government to take steps for restoration of peace in Gaza as soon as possible and appealed the Indian government to immediately stop the ongoing persecution in Kashmir.

Various organizations set up stalls of Niaz and Sabeels for the participants of the procession.
The procession passed through its designated routes and ended peacefully on Main Street, Flushing, Queens. At the end of the procession, a special prayer was offered for the development, stability and prosperity of the Islamic world.
